HAUMOANA

MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. (Own Correspondent.) The opening shoot of the recently formed Miniature Rifle Club took place yesterday. Mr F. L. Gordon, patron of the club, performed the opening ceremony, in a few well-chosen words. He then proceeded to fire off the first rounds, scoring 68 out of a possible 70, which was one of the best scores of the evening. A total of 41 members shot off and, considering the fact that the majority were beginners, Haumoana should, in time, make a very creditable showing. The second shoot takes place on April 26th, when the club officials hope to record better scoring.
