HASTINGS WEST SCHOOL

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee was held on Tuesday evening. Present:—Messrs S. J. McKee (chairman), W. B. Roe, J. Trumper, V. L. Westerman, G. B. Britten, V. Colello. 0. M. Weaver, W. J. Weaver, A. Matthews and L. J. Mackersey. The headmaster reported an average attendance of 340 out of a roll number of 360. He reported that William Young was dux of the school for 1931, and that the proficiency examination was held on December 1. Authority was given for the appointment of a caretaker for the baths during the holidays to enable the baths to be open outside the house controlled by the Swimming Cllub. ’Mr W. J. Weaver was appointed the committee’s second delegate on the Dental Clinic Committee. Final arrangements were discussed for parents’ day.
