WORLD PRICES
THE BOTTOM REACHED. IMPROVEMENT MUST COME. (Received 10, 11.30 a.m.) London, Dee. 9. Presiding at the Paterson-Laing-Bruce meeting, Mr. Bruce said that he thought he could justifiably give shareholders some encouragement for the future. The world, he said, had reached such a point that unless action was taken to bring about an international movement for the advance of world prices, bankruptcy would appear to be facing every nation. But, ho added, he thought that Australia had reached the bottom of its depression and could look forward to a sure but possibly very slow improvement in its position.
