TRADE WITH RUSSIA
PROPOSED REGULATION. CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE RECOMMENDATION. (Received 8 1.20 p.m.) London, November 7. To regulate our trade with Russia by th® amount she buys here, is virtually the recommendation of the Associated Chambers of Commerce Committee. The recommendation points out that Russia’s trade is now nearly on the pre-war level, but that there is an unproportionate increase in British purchases. It dismisses the anxiety concerning butter dumping, but admits that in a few years Russia may be one of the greatest of the world’s grain producers, and may be able to undersell others if the present policy is allowed to continue.
