AMATEUR ATHLETICS

THE HASTINGS CLUB. The Hastings Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club will hold its next sports carnival at Nelson Park on Thursday evening, December 10, commencing at 7.45 o’clock. A first-class programme of athletic and field events has been arranged, and those who were present at the carnival held last month will be sure to be there to enjoy the thrills which are always provided at the meetings held by the above club. There is sure to be a team of athletes from Waipukurau and Waipawa, as they are keen to show their Hastings rivals, who visited them last week and took several of the trophies, that it was onjy one of their off nights. With such keen rivalry only one thing can result and that is going to cause those present to enjoy a night of thrills.
