Mason Chambers at today’s meeting of the Iliwke’s Bay County Council when the White New Zealand League wrote asking for the council’s support in an endeavour to control more adequately the arrival of Asiastics to the Dominion. "In the north of New Zealand one can see how Asiatics are replacing the whites in many positions and their arrival should should be restricted so that the standard of living of our own people should not be lowered. The council agreed to give its moral support to the movement.
