MAOBI TEAM TO MEET WALLABIES. FOUR HAWKE’S BAY PLAYERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Aug. 24. The following team will represent the Maoris of New Zealand against the Australian touring side:— Full-back: Nepia (East Coast). Three-quarters: McDonald (Marlborough), Walford (East Coast), Watson (Taranaki), Ruru (Wellington). Five-eighths: Howell (Hawke’s Bay). Mason (North Otago). Half-back: Harrison (East Coast). Wing-forward: Bell (Southland). Forwards: Purdue (Southland), Manihera (Canterbury), Tom Robinson (Canterbury), Reid (East Coast), Gemmell (Hawke’s Bay), Wilson (Hawke’s Bay), Leach (Bay of Plenty), T. Wanoa (Hawke’s Bay). The men selected will go into training at Otaki on September 3rd.
