CONFERENCE OF DELEGATES. MEETING AT PALMERSTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Aug. 22. A conference representative of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, the Wellington Athletic Association and the Manawatu, Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay sub-centres was held this evening, Mr. H. McCormick (Wellington) presiding. A remit from the Masterton club that the Wellington centre be urged to fix a time limit on all championship cycling events and to enforce it at aft championship meetings was carried. Another remit from the Masterton club urging that the centre be requested to define the difference between an A grade and a B grade cyclo rider and that the definition be enforced throughout the Wellington province was passed on to the Wellington centre for consideration. A remit from the Manawatu subcentre that the attention of the New Zealand council ho drawn to the matter of payments by ,nh-centres was discussed by the meeting. The remit, with the request that affiliation foes he reduced from £1 1/- to 10/8, Was carried. The Manawatu sub-centre also requested that the Now Zealand council bo urged to give immediate attention to '’npliontions for reinstatements. The Mnnnwntii suh-centre also brought before the meeting th* remit that tile attention of the New Zealand council be drawn to the letter sent bv the sub-centre regarding the clubs which hare not functioned during ths past season, on account of the depression. a motion being carried on those lines.
