taradAle defence club. THE ANNUAL MEETING. Enthusiasm amongst members of the Taradale Rifle Club was demonstrated by the large attendance at the annual meeting on 'Thursday night, Mr. P. Bishop presiding. Several new members were enrolled. The annual report showed that the club’s finances were in a satisfactory State. . , . Feeling reference was made by the chairman and several members in the loss the club had sustained in the death of two of their members Messrs M. R. Jarvis and Simpson. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. P. Dolbel (sent.); patroness Mrs. M. J. Bee; vice-patrons, Messrs W. E. Barnard, M.P., H. J. Smith, Dr, D. A. 0, Will, N. PEricksen, J, 11. Rundle, Golding, J. Williamson, J. H. Hindman, A. E. La wry, J. Ewan, F. 0. Andersoni; president, Mr. S. Pedersen (re-elect-ed); vice-president, P. Bishop (reelected); secretary, Mr. A. K. Maidens; handicapper. Mr. J. T. Jarvis; committee, Messrs L. Trenson, H. Russell, J. T. Jarvis, A. Dean, L. Scott. It was arranged that the first shoot should take place on September 5.
