The Heretaunga Group Herd Testing Association figures for the month of December show as follows: — Heretaunga No. 1 Group.— average (milk) 764 lbs, average test, 4.5; average butterfat, 34.42 lbs.; highest herd average, 49.95 lbs butter fat. lowest herd average, 25.42 lbs butterfat, highest cow. 85.50 lbs butter fat, lowest cow, 8.91 butterfat. Heretaunga No. 2 Group.—Group average (milk) 818 lbs, average test 4.5; average butterfat 36.96 lbs, highest herd average 45.96 lbs butterfat, lowest herd average 27.58 lbs butterfat, highest cow 82.80 lbs butterfat, lowest cow 10.45 lbs butterfat. Ruataniwha Group.—Group average (milk) 836 lbs, average test 4.4; average butterfat 37.32 lbs, highest hen] average 50.24 lbs butterfat, lowest herd average 25.85 lbs butterfat, highest cow 87.78 lbs butterfat. Ipwcst cow 6.48 lbs butterfat.
