YUGO-SLAV CRISIS
DEATH OF STEPHEN RADITCH. PEOPLE IN MOURNING FOR LOST LEADER. (United Press Association— By CableCopyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Press Assn.) (Received 10, 1.25 p.m.) Paris, August 9. A Zagreb message states that everybody feels convinced that the inevitable result of Stephen Raditch's death will be separation in some form from Serbia. In the meantime, order reigns and the people are in mourning for their lost leader. The funeral has been fixed for Sunday. The body is lying in state. Peasants from western Jugo-Slavia are flocking to Zagreb to pay their last respects. Raditch’s brain weighed 1450 grammes, which is stated to be almost a record. An overnight cable stated: The death has occurred at Zagreb of M. Stephan Ruditch, the distinguished Croat leader, who never recovered fullv from wounds received in the National Jugo-Slav Parliament (Skuptschina) in Belgrade on June 20, when Dr. Rachitch, a former Minister, emptied a revolver into the Opposition benches, killing tw’O deputies and severely wounding Stephan Raditch. In fear of an uprising following the expected death of Raditch, the Belgrade Government recently shifted Serb troops to Zagreb.
