RELIEF OF DISTRESS

TUESDAY’S CONCERT IN AID OF MAYOR’S FUND,

BRIGHT PROGRAMME ARRANGED.

Popular prices will be charged for admission to the entertainment to be held in the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, on Tuesday next. This does not, however, indicate that there is anything “cheap” about the quality of the performance. Mr A. E. Renouf, of Napier, who is considered unequalled as a humorous reciter, will be a welcome addition to an already excellent programme, and will be heard in one of his popular monologues. The Hastings Women’s Choir, which performed so creditably in the concert held last month, will again appear on this occasion, under the baton of Mrs W. C. Whitlock, and is assured of an enthusiastic reception.
