LATE CABLES IN BRIEF. Marking of Honey and Apples. -- The Order-in-Council for the compulsory marking of honey comes into fore in January and for apples in November. English Schoolboys to Tour N.Z.— Thirty public school boys under the leadership of the Rev. A. T. P. Williams. D.D., headmaster of Winchester, travelling third class under migrant conditions, are due in January to tour New Zealand, It is expected that some will settle down there. Large Contract.—The Broken Hill Proprietary. Newcastle. Australia, has placed a £1,000,000 contract with the Copper Co.. London, for the con struction of coke ovens and by-pro ducts plant, which is one of the largest contracts in Australia’s industrial history.
