THE TASMAN FLIGHT
AVIATORS SATISFIED WITH PLANE. WILL TAKE NO RISKS, Sydney, Jan. 6. pie aviators, Captain Kight, Captain Hood and Lieutenant Mot> crieff, express satisfaction with their monoplane and anticipate no difficulty during the Tasman flight. They intend to take no risks and will not hop off till all conditions are absolutely in their favour. They anticipate leaving about two o’clock in the l/iorning, landing at Wellington at six in the evening, or thereabouts. They will head direct for Farewell Spit, The aviators to make the flight are almost certain to be Lieutenant Moncrieff and Captain Hood. Both these men speak most highly of Captain Kight s organisation and the arrangements made wi(h the Australian Government. Captain Kight says everything has gone smoothly from the jump. Mechanics are now working on the machine and making it as perfect as possible for the epic flight.
