“MR. .A”

SIR HARI SINGH MARRIED.

BRIDES IDENTITY NOT DIVULGED.

Karachi (British India), Aug. 5.

Maharajah Sir Hari Singh, who was defrauded of £150,000 in the notorious “Mr A.” case, which alternately amused and disgusted London in 1924, was quietly married on Thursday night in Kashmir.

The identity of the maharajah’s bride had not been divulged to-day. The wedding was attended by the British resident and several ministers of state.

Sir Hari is reputed to be worth 60,000,000 dollars, with a revenue from the throne which he inherited from his uncle of more than 5,000,000 dollars a year. His first wife was the daughter of an Indian ruling chief. They were married in 1923, before Sir Hari was revealed to the world as the hero of an illicit romance that ended in blackmail.
