SUNDAY SERVICES.
Lieut.-Colonel Carmichael, of Palmerston North will be conducting special meetings at the local corps this Sunday. 'I he usual Sunday evening service will be held at, the Stortford Mission Hall on Sunday. Subject: “Substitution.” The second address, of a series on the return of Christ and the things to be accomplished by him at that time, will be given in the Orange Hail on Sunday, night. See front page for particulars. Rev. T. Keith Ewen will conduct both services at the Hastings Baptist Church to-morrow. The morning topic will be “The Identity of the Risen christ,” and in the evening, “What is Baptism?” Several candidates will be baptised. .A combined Bible Class rally will take place at 2.30 p.m., when members will give reports of the recent camps. A Fellowship tea will follow, to which all young people are heartily invited. At St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Market street, the Rev. A. C. WeddGrspoon will conduct the day’s services. The evening subject will be ’My Experience Among Prisoners.” An "anthem will be rendered by the choir. Services of a specially interesting character will be held at Wesley Church, Hastings, to-morrow. At 11 a.m. the local Scouts will parade, the Rev. F. Copeland being the preacher. A duet will be sung by Air. and Mrs. Alcßean. The evening service will be conducted by the Rev. Angus Alcßean. The anthem will be “Sweet is the Sunlight,” Airs. Haynies being the soloist. Service will be held at Whakatu at 2.30 p.m.
