Recent N.Z. Visit FELLOWSHIP AND GOODWILL. SPONTANEOUS DOMINION EXPRESSIONS. [By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.] (Received 31, 11.15 a.m.) Sydney, Mar. 31. Commodore Wardle, referring to the Australian fleet’s visit to New Zealand, said: “The cruise was a tremendous success in every way. It seemed to me, that in New Zealand we were welcomed not only as British ships, but because we were Australians. This is the first time that Australian ships have visited New Zealand as a squadron, and the occasion was marked by a spontaneous expression of friendship and Empire loyalty on the part oi the Dominion. Although the chief purpose was to exercise with the New Zealand fleet, the visit, in fact, became a mission of fellowship and goodwill.”
