WIDENING PROPOSALS. The widening of Cameron road is to be considered by the Napier Borough Council when the estimates are being drawn up. The engineer .suggests a scheme by which a 6ft. footway could lie obtained by piping and filling in the water channel on the south-eastern side of the road. The Council has decided to slab over Iho water-tables in the following streets, with a view to increasing the road space:—Emerson street, from Hastings street to the Majestic corner, both sites Market street and Tenny- f son street from Hastings street to Herscliell street. ‘•Daily Telegraph” office to Dalton street and from the Pensions office to Dalton street.
