HASTINGS DISTRICT U.F.S. ASSOCIATION.

' A meeting of the delegates was held last night, March 26th, to receive the annual statements of the dispensary. As the year’s working has resulted in a loss due to many contributing causes it was decided to re-organise and for the time being to dispense with the provisions to procure the dispensing of urgent prescriptions. For some time to come members will have to make their own arrangements about urgent medicine. An alteration to one of the rules io bring it into line with the Friendly Societies Act was agreed to, and the new rules will now come into fori|j. It was left to the president and secretary to arrange a special meeting of the delegates to receive the Alayor with, reference to any proposals as to a district nurse. Correspondence relating vo the medical fund was referred to the executive for inquiry and attention. It was decided to notify members that in future they must tender their prescription book, on the occasion of each visit of the medical officer, to have the date and initials entered, in order to avoid disputes as to medical charges. Members failing in this are liable to be charged full rates for eaffi visit. The meeting termined after carrying by acclamation a very hearty vote of appreciation of the courtesy of the Manchester Unity Lodge in giving rhe use of the hall for meetings of delegates.
