THE TUTAEKURI DIVERSION.
GOOD PROGRESS BEING MADE. Very satisfactory progress is being made bv the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board with the work in connection with the diversion of the Tutaekuri to the Waitangi. The southern bank has been completed as far as Robinson’s Drain, and as s.oon as the new drain now being made is finished it will again be proceeded with. At present the teams arc busy at work on the northern bank, which is now well beyond the plantation, through which the work was difficult on account of the large trees which had to bo removed. It is expected that an early start will be made- with tho low-level bridge on the Napier-Clive road, and when that io completed work on tho pilot channel for the Tutaekuri river will be commenced.
