AMERICAN GOVERNOR 8 STATEMENT. Honolulu, May 2. Governor Farington, of Hawaii, addressing Army and Navy officers and Congressmen at the conclusion of the Hawaiian manoeuvres, said: “We look upon our neighbour Australia, across tho Pacific, as upon Canada, across the border, with a feeling oi brotherhood. Our joint function is to make the Pacific what its name implies. This is our parting word before the fleet sails far Australia.” (A. and N.Z.)
