Commander Eustace Maude, R.N., nged 77, who commences a voyage to England in a 25-foot sloop on May 1, arrived at Victoria British Columbia, cn rout© for tho open sea, with Panama the next port of call. He will mot sight land until he reaches the canal. Ho has provisions for 100 days. TTb expects to make the canal in 60 days. H© has 50 gallons of water and the Sam© quantity of gasolene aboard the vessel, th© Half Moon, which has a five horse-power <ngino.—(A. and N.Z.)
