BENZINE AND CASE OILS.
HEAVY IMPORTATIONS AT NAPIER. During this month there has been a record importation of 81,850 cases of benzine and case oils to Napier. This quantity will be considerably added to by. three additional shipments within the next few days. The Orient City is due direct from Texas to discharge 13,000 cases, and the City of Canton has another 16,000 cases. The other vessel due is the Rio Claro. but her lading is not yet known. Thus, exclusive of the supplies by the last named vessel, no less than 110,850 cases will be landed in Napier during July. It is stated that the heavy importations are due to the increased number of distributing companies in New Zealand and probably to the low price ruling in America.
