A Christchurch telegram states that the entries for the Dominion Bowling Association Tournament to be held at Christchurch next month include 122 rinks, 204 doubles and 216 singles. The North Island centres arc well represented, but the entry from Otago and Southland is disappointing. During tho progress of the Mosman regatta on the Parramatta river the officials’ launch unexpectedly ran under the sponson of a ferry as tho latter was moving from Abbotsford wharf. The launch sank almost immediately, hut the officials scented danger and clambered on to the ferry without even a ducking.
