POTTED MIXTURES” TO NIGHT

The people of Hastings will have an. opportunity this evening of showing their appreciation of the efforts of the Citizens’ Band by rolling up in large numbers to th© big musical extravaganza. “Potted Mixtures ” at. the Municipal Theatre. The big cast in this production has been working assiduously for weeks to make tile entertainment a huge success, and it only needs the sunport of the public to make it so. Mr. A erne, the organiser, says everything is in perfect order, and one can expect a rare entertainment, free from waits and The dresses alone are said well worth seeing, but there are manv other features, too numerous to mention, that go to make “Potted Pictures” the finest show yet produced locally. Those who procure their tickets before the ticket box opens will be admitted first. There are still a few seats in the front .stalls at 4/.

FANCY DRESS FOOTBALL MATCH. Prior to the fancy dress football match to-morrow afternoon on Nelson Park the teams will greet each other at the corner of Karamu road and Heretaunga street, where a comic ceremony will be held. The Wind and Water (the band and fire brigade) team will be selected from tile followingMcKennie, Matthews Graham. Attwood. Simenson, Bunker, Apperley. Smith, Bryant. Unwin, McKenzie, Be unison, Thomas, Robinson. McAlister. Orchard. Hasher. Arrangements have been made for the final of the school championships I to take place at Nelson Park to-morrow afternoon, along with the big fancy I dress football match. Parkvale v. Havellock will decide the championship. This added atraction will make a fine Afternoon’s sport.
