At the wool sales a fair all round selection met a strong demand from all quarters, both merinos and crossbreds making Tull late rates. Slipes were firmer.—(A. and N.Z.)

Linseed oil: £36 5/ per ton, equal to 2/10 3-4 per gallon. Messrs Murray Roberts and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following cable from London with reference to the wool market:—Market continues strong with strong competition for all descriptions. Compared with opening rates greasy merino best desscriptions advanced 5 per cent; greasy merino medium to good advanced 10 per cent; merino pieces and bellies advanced 10 per cent, crossbred greasy fine market shows no change, crossbred greasy medium advanced 5 per cent, crossbred greasy coarse advanced 5 per cent, crossbred slipe market shows a hardening tendency.
