WAIRERE. Visitors to the Wqirere CJub’s green on Saturday included a number of members ot the Bluff Hill Club. IJuring the tea acuournment, the Resident (MT. T. B. Bear) extended a hearty welcome to the visitors, and also took occasion, on behalf of the Wairere Club, to wish bon voyage and a safe return to Mr. F. Rice, one of the foundation members and an ex-president of tho club on the eve of his departure for the Old Country on an extended trip. Messrs Klee and J. Moiling (president of the Bluff Hill Club) expressed thanks and appreciation for the felicitations extended to them. The 1 oilowing games were played during the afternoon Saturday Rinks. PORT AHURIRI. A number of members of St. Leonards Club journeyed to the Port Ahurin green and a pleasant afternoon was panned in friendly rivalry. Following are the results: — G. A croquet match for the ladies was also held, the winner being Mis Stevenson, of St. Leonards. HASTINGS. The semi-final in the rinks competition was played on Saturday afternoon between teams snipped by Naylor and Land. The game was very closely contested, throughput, and resulted as follows: —'Diamond, Gichard, Knight, Naylor, 24; Holmes, Bishop, Thompson, Land, 23. The final will be played between Naylor’s team and W. Garnett, Bridgman, McLeod and Marris. The following ordinary games were also played:—Smith, Gardner, Waters and King beat Bates, Turner, Monk and Leatham, 20 —16; Hay, Hughes, Pitcaithley and Crichton beat Horn Collins, Parkinson and Beatson, 20—13; Say well, Gordon, McLeod and Hogan beat Garnett. Lassey, Stewart and White, 23 —21: Rose. Pointon, Russell and Kruse beat Newton, Pegler, Sinclair and Esson, 28 —12.

BLUFF HILL v. NGA TOA. Two teams from the Bluff Hill Club visited the Nga Toa Club on Saturday, when an enjoyable afternoon was spent. The Bluff Hill players succeeded in winning both rinks, their names being mentioned first in the results, which are as follows:—

Steele, Stewart, Foley, Newton, 21; Murrison, Kyle, Yates, Spiers, 19. Reaney, Nantes, Fox, MacGoun, 27; Lorigan, Wright Campbell, Spackman 12.
