When the case,of R. H. Gallien v. E. Pratt, a claim for £199, value ol first prize in the soldiers’ children art union, was called on at the Hastings Magistrate’s Court this morning, Mr. Hallett applied for an adjournment ■till this afternoon, stating that a settlement out of court would probably be arrived at before then. Later on an application that the case be struck out was granted by Mr. R. W. Dyer. S.M. Mr. Hallett appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Duff for the defendant.
