THE CHINESE CONSORTIUM.
FINALLY ORGANISED. Washington, May 11. The State Department has formally announced that the Chinese Consortium has been finally organised on the basis suggested by the United States. Banking groups in England. France, Japan and the United States will be organised, receiving diplomat;? support from their respective Governments. Loans will be subject to the approval of the Governments. It is understood that th? first loan to Chinn will be fifty million dollars.—(A. and N.Z.)
