BACON'S NEW LAURELS.

CLAIMED AS THE AUTHOR OF “DON QUIXOTE.”

Herr Alfred Weber, formerly Austrian Court Councillor, who is an enthusiastic Shakespeare student, has published a work entitled “Shakespeare-Bacon-Cervantes,” in which he claims the authorship not only of the plays attributed to Shakespeare, but also of Cervantes’ “Don Quixote” for Bacon. Herr Weber also declares that, in depicting the characters of Hamlet. Macbeth, Othello and Brutus, Bacon really described his own personality. The volume is purchased with astonishing avidity in Vienna, where 'Shakespearian plays have for years enjoyed great popularity.
