ST. ANDREW’S LADIES’ GUILD.

The Hastings St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild held their monthlv meeting in the hall on Thursday afternoon. Rev. P. Ramsay presiding. It being the end of the financial year reports of the year’s work were read by the secretary, (.Mrs. Griffiths) and treasurer (Airs. Ebbett). The guild is to be commended for the useful work they have done both in connection with their own church and more particularly in connection with the Red Cross work. The members baye been busy sewing and knitting during the year and a large number of garments have been made and sent .’way to the boys at the front. Several new mambe”*’ were proposed and accepted. The treastmer’s report showed that £lO Les hoop donated tn the proposed new Sunday School fimd and also £lO towards reducing church debt. Thomnson, Mrs- Carter, Airs. Agnew, Mrs. McArthur, sen. The guild will take the Red Cross shop on May 26th and decided that ;no raffling or anything that has a reflection of gambling be allowed.
