WAIPUKURAU. THURSDAY, FEB. 15th. (Before Mr. S. E. McCarthy, S.M.) Two applicants, Griffiths and Henty, were granted exemption from drill on account of being over age. E Houseman, charged with permitting cat-tie to wander, did not appear, and was convicted and fined £1 10/-, and 7/- costs. Judgment was given in the following cases: J. Winlove v. F. Warring £23 4/6, costs £2 14/-; D. B. Kent v. E. L. Elers, £8 3/1, costs £5 13/6; Beckett and Cato v. J. Lamberton £1 17/6, costs 5/-; Trustees of Reed and Godfrey v. J. Olliver £4 8/6, costs 11/-; Trustees of Reed and Godfrey v. Collett £2 13/-, costs 11/--Judgment summons: Reckin v. Reynold son £3 5/-. Ordered to pay one half on March Ist and balance on April Ist. F. Lloyd v. Kate Rophia, £46; ordered to pay forthwith in default three months’ ’imprisonment. R. Scott v. Striekett and Goldstone, £lBO. On behalf of plaintiff, Mr. Norris asked the Court to amend plaint by substituting the Official Assignee in bankruptcy as defendant. As Strickett’s estate was in his hands, argument ensued on plaintiff’s application for him for good® supplied to Striekett for builamgs erected for Mr. Goldstone. The Court held that evidence would be required to establish that the goods supplied were not for Strickett’s general use, but exclusively for Goldstone’s buildings. An. - adjournment to next sittings was made by consent, to enable evidence to be adduced. Mr. Wedde appeared for the Official Assignee. '
