Gisborne and Tokomaru Bay.—Per s.s. Monowai, Friday, February 16th, 5.20 p.m. ; mail van, 5.50 p.m. Australia (due in Sydney 23rd Feb.) via Auckland.—Per train, Saturday, February 17tli, 8.40 a.m.; mail yan, 9 a.m.
Mails for America. United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, etc., will bo despatched by next available steamer. Mails for United Kingdom, America, and all Oversea Countries, except Australia will be despatched from time to time by best route without special notification.
Persons despatching letters ad dressed to prisoners of war are reminded that they should he posted unsealed to facilitate handling by the censors.
As correspondence for all nentre' countries is subject to censorship it iturged that ir. order to avoid delays that such correspondence be posted in ample time for the mail, the day previous to its despatch if posiblse All letters for members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces should he addressed “c/oO.P.O.,Wellington.” Letters addressed in any other way are Hable to suffer delay.
The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. Money Orders, Registered Letters aud Parcels Post Parcels close _ thirty minutes before the ordinary mail. F. PERRIN, Postmaster.
