Xapicr exported 1(1.(129.11911' mutton, the largest quantiiv shipped trom any port in Neu Zealand except Wellington, troin which 22.t>22,(J23m. acre exported. The thud port was Lyttelton, with 9,868,; 161 b. The figures lor New Zealand lor the hali-year ended December 31st. 1916, compared v ith the prei ious six months wete as undei, the latter being shown in parenthesis: —Mutton .6,143,2101 b. (67,507.5191 b. lamb 4.9,567,1421 b. (6(1,h0i).3961b. i ; beet’ 18,.130,4521b. (63,819,2811 b. . The figures for last year siinflarly compared were:—Mutton J 13,650,7591 b (161,29-1,4111 b. 1 ; lamb 110,426,5381 b. <127,997.1091b.) : beet 111,949,7331 b. (53.10 l.5O01b.). The total exports of iiozen meat lot 1914, 1915 and 1916 "ere respectively 358,217.84211> , 372,396.0501 b., 366,027.030ib. The year 1915 (372.396.0501 b. is the highest on record, 1916 being next and 1914 third.
