GREEK SITUATION. RAISING THE"BLOCKADE. [AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSN.] Athens. Feb. 5. Sir F. E. Elliott (British Ambassador at Athens) and M. Guillemin conferred with the Foreign Minister and permitted maize to be landed and a European mail delivered. This is regarded as the beginning of raising the blockade. [AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSN.] (Received 6, 10.35 a.m.) Athens. Feb. 5. The Minister of War has ordered all persons to surrender arms used by the Greek or any other army by February 18th. Heavy penalties are | threatened for non-compliance.
