DISTRICT SHIILD MN\I The final for the District Shield competition, between Hastings and Napier, was played on the Port green on Saturday 7, and resulted m a win for Napier by 12 points oil the aggregate. Considerable interest was taken in the match and there was a large number of enthusiasts present. The green was in excellent order, and play generally was of a first-class order. Napier won two rinks, lost in one and tied in the other. Following are the scores Napier names being given first:— Harris, Woodcock, Cunningham, Bull, 21; Baird, Cassin, J. Holt King, 21. F.
