MISAPPROPRIATION

CHARGES AGAINST A SOLICITOR. Christchurch, Oct. 31. This afternoon at the Magistrate’s Court liefore Mr. Bishop, S.M.. George Henry Ritchie, solicitor, of Christchurch, i was brought up on a charge of converting trust funds to his own use, viz., the sum of £338 16/8, part, of the trust created under the will of Diedrich Kruse, who died in 1905. The chief detective stated there were other charges pending, and it was expected the deficiency’ would reach the. sum of £3OOO. Accused .was remanded and ad mitted to bail, himself in £5OO and two sureties of £250 wach.
