TWYFORD.

(Own Correspondent.) A very successful concert organised by Airs. J. Agnew under the auspices of the Twyford Sunday School, in aid of the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, was held in Twyford barn on Wednesday evening. The room presented a gay appearance being tastefully decorated with evergreens and flags. Half of the programme, which was most enjoyable, was contributed by the local school children, who opened the entertainment with the chorus “We Shall Get There in Time.” Following are the other items: —Japanese fan song, M. McNut, D. Thompson, J. Law, G. and ?. Wilson, G. and M. List; diaIc’gjie, ‘‘A Slight Mistake,” school children ; character song, “Ten Little Nigger Boys”; pianoforte duets, Misses Wilson, M. McNut, and D. Thompson ; song ‘Britannia,’’ school girls ; songs by Mrs. McDuff Boyd and the Misses F ords ; song, “Three Old Maids of Lee,” Mrs. McLean, Miss Ford and Miss Ramsay ; recitation, Miss Bessie Mitchell; monologue, Mr. Ebbet; song, “Driver from Home,” Gladys List. All the numbers were loudly applauded. Gladys List’s song bringing forth a shower of coins from the audience.

Miss M. Thompson did splendid business with a sweet, stall which added considerably to the takings, -•inch praise is due to Mrs. Agnew and all who kindly helped in which everything was carried out. ' ■ The evening closed with the singin gof the National Anthem.
