BISHOP JULIUS’ GIFT.

Christchurch, Oct. 27.

At the conclusion of business the Anglican Synod last night decided to accept " the general offer by Bishop Julius that Bisliopscourt should be let and that he should give half his stipend for educational purposes. The Bishop explained that his family had grown up and gene away, and his wife and himself would be" happier doing their work quietly in a small house together. Dean Carrington referred to the offer as a strikingly noble one.
