DUBLIN DISTRESS FUND.
AND HOME RULE
Christchurch, Oct. 27.
At a meeting in the Hibernian Hall to discuss the distress in Dublin, it was decided, on the motion of Mr. L. M. Isitt, that all friends of Ireland should be urged to contribute to relieve the distress. A motion by Mr. D. G. Sullivan was carried, That the meeting draws attention to the fact that the generous sacrifices made by Ireland in the Empire’s battles justified her claims to the fulfilment of the promise of Home Rule.
