AT PETANE. The Pelane Sheep Dog Trial Club's annual trials commenced yesterday in a paddock kindly lent by Mr. James Bell. Waipuna station. ()nly one event. HAWKE’S BAY KENNEL CLUB. .-\NNU.\L MEETING. The annual meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Kennel Club was held in the Alasonic . Hotel last evening. Air. Paid Hunter presiding. The annual balance-sheet, which showed that the club was in an exceedingly satisfactory position, was read and adopted. It was decided to instruct th<? incoming committee to advise the New Zealand Kennel Club of those exhibitors who have failed to pay their entry fees, so that they may be aware who tile defaulters are'. The election of officers resulted as follows Patrons, Messrs. R. D. D. McLean. J. H. Coleman, G. Hunter, and Dr. Bernau ; preident, Air. Paul Hunter (re-elected) ; vice-presidents, the retiring vice-presidents were all re-elected, and Messrs E. -Troutbeck. C. Fox, F. Armond. C. IT. Gould and A. Kohn were added to their number ; committee. Messrs T. Bis-on. J. -v. Rnrienshav’. ( . V-'. Davis, TV. Dunningham. J. Gleeson, J. Henderson, J. G. Parker, C. A. Poll. G. S. Remington, D. T. Sinclair. C. L. Thomas, J. Haynes, S. Brownettee. A. Colyer. W. Abra, L. Knock, and C. Johnson ; Air. C. H. Bickerstaff (re-elected),’ honarary secetary. Mr. S. P. Spiller (re-elected). The following new members were elected.:—Messrs. L. Knock. C.

Johnson, AV. A'ates, A. A. Sinclair. A. A. McDougall. G. F. Foreman, and Master R. Smith. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to all the donors, the president and the secretary.
