THE LOAN CARRIED. BY A LARGE MAJORITY. Ti-,- poll which took place throughout the district yesterday on the proposal of the Napier Harbcur Board to borrow £30.1)00 for the reclamation of about 2900 acres of the board's reserve, resulted in the lean being carried by a majority of 312 uv. r the necessary three-fifths majeri’y of the total number of valid votes ;,-')>ded. There are 7233 ratepayers •■a ii;-' roil, and only IS2O look the to veto. The voting at the various booths was as follows
