PRINCESS THEATRE, HASTINGS

There will be a complete change of programme to-night. “ The Punishment ” is one of the latest A.B. dramas and “ Bonnie of the Hills ” is a thrilling drama by the Champion Company. Among the comics is an Edison picture', ” Troubles of a Butler,” “ Tweedledum's New Theft,” and several others. There is also a very fine industrial subject, “A Day’s Shooting.”

KING’S THEATRE, HASTINGS. To-night, at the King's Picture Palace, a complete change of pictures will be screened. Gaumont Graphic and Pathe’s Gazette, as usual, contain a lot of tit-bits of news which should interest all. “Along the Adriatic ’’ if a scenic travel film, showing some beautiful scenes. The star drama is “ The Victoria Cross: or The Charge of the Light Brigade,” by the great Vitagraph Company of America. The heroism of a young officer in this film, and the winning of his spurs, the CommanderGeneral’s daughter, and his decoration by Queen Victoria with the Victoria Cross for distinguished bravery give us a thrilling story. In this film is reproduced the famous Charge of the Light Brigade, in accordance with the poetic and artistic grandeur of Tennyson’s stirring poem. The other dramas are “ Surgeon's Heroism,” “ Blackbeard,” and “ Renegade,” all good interesting subjects. The lighter side of the programme is represented by “He Wanted to Propose,” “Oh, Those Eyes!” “ Ventriloquist’s Trunk,” atid “ Stagestruck Lizzie.” OLYMPIA RINK, HASTINGS. A fair number of skaters attended at the *Rink last evening. The. management announce that on Wednesday, July 24th. a grand fancy dress anti poster carnival will he held, when there will also be a number of interesting competitions.
