FARNDON PARK BOARD.

The annual meeting of the Farn don Park Board was held at noon yesterday, the Hawke’s Bay County Council sitting as a board for the purpose. The clerk stated that the year closed with a credit balance of £l 8/2. The chairman reported having accepted a tender of £2B for the grazing of sheep in the park for the ensuing year. —Approved. The chairman pointed out that the term of office of the board would expire in August, and if the (■live people or Napier people thought they would like to form a board and manage the park, th* council would be only too pleased to relinquish the work.

Cr. Rathie said there was a desire at Clive, but he doubted if the work could be better done.

The chairman said that perhaps when the people knew the position they would express their wishes. The sum of £2 was paid in fees, and the hockey and football clubs asked for the use of the park,- and the matter was left to the chairman and Cr. Rathie.
