FARMERS’ BANKING SCHEME.
JOINT STOCK BANKS WILL ASSIST. (Received 11, 8.5 a.m.) London, Feb. 10. Lord Carrington is considering the agricultural banking scheme and working it through larger joint stock banks, who will lend at half per centum above the bank rate on condition that they are permitted to audit the accounts of local co-operative societies.
