THE AGNEWS.
[PKE9S ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Monday. Mr and Mrs Agnew, who gained notoriety some years ago in Wellington and Dunedin over their alleged grievances, were before the court at Naseby to-day, when application was made for an order to give up possession of land which they have occupied for some years. The land was sold by the mortgagee some time ago, one Armitage becoming the purchaser, but attempts to obtain lawful possession were frustrated. After patiently listening to husband and wife, Mr McEnnis, S.M., made the order. The Agnews were then charged with assaulting Armitage, who asked that they be bound over to keep the peace. The Agnews were ordered to find one surety each in the sum of £lO, and to bind themselves in £2O to keep the peace. The sureties not being forthcoming, they went to prison.
