BRITISH POLITICS.
CORN AND COAL TAXES. (Received April 13, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, April 13. Mr Austen Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, replying to a deputation, declined to repeal the coaltax. The “Evening News,” in a special edition, announces that Mr Austen Chamberlain intends to reimpose the imported corn and flour duties abolished last year.
