SUMMER MEETING. Tips by "FethvKW The second t dey» racing of the Hawke's B(iV Jockey Club’s summer meeting Vilf he held to-day. The fields promise to he large, and as the Holiday Association have consented to close the places of business at noon there will probably be a large attendance. No doubt the club acted very wisely in postponing the meeting till to-day. The handicaps were declared by Mr Ulio Shannon, whose apportionments seeni th have satisfied owners very Well, as excellent acceptances Were received on Monday night. I look forward to witnessing some good racing. The course should be in capital order, and favourable for fast times. Trains will leave Napier for the racecourse at 11 a.m., 11.30 a.m.. 12.35 p.m.. and 2.15 p.m., and will leave the racecourse for Napier on the return journey at 5.25 and 5.45 p.m., and for Waipukurau, Woodville, etc., at 5.60 p.m. Travellers by the 12.35 p.m. train from Napier will reach the course in time to sec the second race.
