The usual 5 p.m, Napier-Waipuku* rau Train, will run to Woodville, leaving Waipukurau at 8 p.m., Takapau 8.45, Or* mondville 9.20, Makotmku 9.27, Dannevirke 10.10, Woodville a,rr. 11 p.m. Trains for Hastings Racecourse will leave Napier at 11 a.m., 11.30 a.m., and 12.35 p.m. The 11.30 a.m. Train will not stop for passengers between Napier and Bacecourse. THE New Zealand Government require the Services of a Gentleman competent to undertake the Duties of General Manager of the New Zealand State Fire Insurance Department, to bo established under the Act of last Session. Salary, £BOO per annum. Applications, which will be treated as strictly confidential, will be received up to the 21st JANUARY, 1904, and should be enclosed in sealed envelope, addressed to the Colonial Treasurer, Wellington. The envelope should be marked confidential, and endorsed "Application Manager State Fire Insurance Department.” A thorough knowledge of the business of fire insurance in all its branches will be essential. Applicants will be expected to furnish a statement of their experience, as well as copies of their credentials and references, also age.
