LONDON, December 18. The Admiralty have christened the newly - acquired Chilian battleships Swiftsure and Triumph. They will fee added to the fleet reserve. (Received December 21, 1.3 a.m.) December 20The “Daily Express” says that the torpedo officers undergoing instruction aboard the Vernon at Portsmouth and the Defiance at Devonport have receiv*ed secret orders to hold themselves in readiness for mobilisation. Each officer is appointed to a definite ship.
